All those seasoned Mothers understand the struggles of a teething baby, those just starting out... Good luck! Be prepared! Zara is just about to turn 4 months old and has been constantly chewing on her hands, dribbling galore and all the other classic signs & symptoms of a teething baby! Her little hands keep getting rashy and dry from all the dribble and constant wiping. She also hasn't quite got complete control over her hands yet so is regularly choking herself and panicking! I am continuously putting scratch mitts on her hands to try and help but I'm just going through loads of pairs a day as they get soaking wet.
So, I took to the good old internet to find a solution - a teething mitt!

I browsed through a few different types and brands of teething mitts, and decided on the Liname teething mitten. I purchased it from Amazon for £6.99 which I thought was a bargain. In the pack I also got a free teething toy which they say is worth £4.99 so that's a big bonus! They had pink, blue or green in stock although they also make a nice turquoise one. We chose pink of course!

The mitten was described as durable, FDA approved, BPA free & no nasty chemicals which were all requirements I was looking for. It's also machine washable which is a huge bonus!
Delivery only took one day, which was great. The items were well packaged in a resealable bag that you can then use to store the mitt and toy in while they're not being used. The mitten makes a crinkle sound which is stimulating for your baby and simply slides onto your child's hand and fastens with velcro. The velcro fastening is handy so you can adjust the tightness around their wrist easily.

The turtle is a really awkward shape - my only down side. Which I am not overly fussed about at it was a free added extra! There isn't any area that Zara could get into her mouth to gnaw on - only tiny little legs and the head sticking out which were too small to reach anywhere other than the front of her gums. I suppose, it is good these parts are so small as at least there is no chance of your baby choking on it as Zara was with her fingers! The great thing about the turtle teething toy is the hole in the middle - Zara can hook her fingers through here to get a good grip on the toy and also means you can attach it onto a dummy clip or toy strap to stop baby losing it!

Overall, I would absolutely recommend this Liname Teething Mitten to all mothers looking to purchase something to help their teething babies! My favourite features are the velcro fastening, ability to machine wash & durability of the mitten. The silicone is thick and sturdy yet soft enough for baby to chew on well. As I said previously, I purchased it from Amazon with free one-day delivery but it is stocked elsewhere online for similar prices. I am unsure if it is stocked anywhere in-store. I would have paid double what I did for it so it is definitely worth the RRP!
