Oxo Tot Stick & Stay Suction Plate Review

We were kindly gifted an Oxo Tot Stick & Stay Suction Plate from Oxo Tot UK & Emma's Diary. Here's how we got on with it...

I like that it came in open packaging so you can see the product, instead of a closed box where you might find a surprise inside with it being different to how you imagine. I love the green, it's a nice subtle colour and completely unisex.

The plate is a smooth sturdy plastic, with a silicone base and rubber suction pad. The suction pad screws on & off the bottom of the plate for easy cleaning - I personally love this feature! So handy for not only cleaning but for storage & meal prep too as I leave off the pad until I place it on Zara's highchair so the plate isnt being stuck down to every surface it touches.

The suction is fantastic, my 10 month old daughter cannot pull it off her highchair tray at all - unless it's wet! I once made the mistake of trying to stick the plate down after she had been throwing her cup of water around and she managed to lift the plate off with a few pulls. This is avoidable by simply ensuring the surface you're placing the plate on is dry. This is the only time she's been able to remove the plate, so for us it is brilliant! No more food flying across the room or being poured straight down her front.

The plate is easy for grown-ups to remove, either by pushing your fingers under a small catch on the rubber seal and sort of peeling away from the table, or by unscrewing the plate from the rubber suction pad & removing separately.

Another great feature of the plate is the curved lip around the edges. This has helped Zara massively in fine-tuning her independent feeding skills. Your baby is able to scoop food into their hand much easier by bringing the food up the edge of the plate. I've saw a huge improvement in Zara's pincer grip since using the Stick & Stay Suction Plate, as her food no longer pushes away from her around her whole highchair tray when she tries to pick it up!

Overall, I would highly recommend purchasing the Stick & Stay Suction Plate by Oxo Tot priced at around £11 - they also manufacture matching bowls with the same features. I give it 9 out of 10, only losing one point as I would like to see it a little bigger for ease of separating foods on the plate.

They sell loads of fantastic and unique items for babies and toddlers on their website including items like cutlery, snack bowls and pottys to kitchen tools & cleaning gadgets! All for very reasonable prices. You can find out more about their products on their website here https://www.oxouk.com/tot & purchase through Amazon.
